The Recruitment Co are thrilled to be working with a growing business in Gateshead with their recruitment for an Accounts Assistant. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a small and friendly team in a business with a great culture. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Undertake regular inputting of all invoices to the Company's SAGE financial system to include matching invoices to existing purchase orders.
  • Prepare payments for sub-contractors via either BACS or cheque in readiness for final
  • approval.
  • Respond to direct telephone enquiries from sub-contractors / suppliers relating to payments made, due or outstanding.
  • Reconcile statements from suppliers to ensure that outstanding payments can be identified and any necessary action taken.
  • Processing of payroll (weekly) through time-sheet allocation analysis
  • Monthly expenses interrogation, review and processing

The ideal candidate:
  • Provide purchase ledger and payroll support to businesses
  • Demonstrate fantastic organisational skills
  • Be able to manage your own time and meet targets and deadlines
  • Have the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are essential as you will need to develop strong relationships with all levels of the business from site teams to external sub-contractors.
