UI Designer / UX Researcher - B2B SaaS start-upBristol/Hybrid£50,000
Our good friends and two first time founders set up this business after being stung by rental agency fee's whilst at university. They decided to build a platform to transform the rental market after their own experiences. The platform will directly connect pre-verified landlords and tenants, providing them all the tools they need to rent, all on one platform (web and iOS).
The product is backed by the largest UK bank as well as private investors and their revenue is growing rapidly . They've doubled their team size last year and probably going to do the same this year.
They've built up a great culture here and their people genuinely like hanging out together. You'll need to be the type of person who's happy to come into the office 1-2 days a week and who enjoys a social. They've been known to dabble in the odd Axe throwing, not in the office though.....lol
Life here is busy due to lots of new clients and work. You'll be working to support the development of their product across web and iOS which is changing the future of renting!
This role is a varied one, a mix between UI Design and also UX Research- you'd spend time understanding the needs of users by planning, conducting and analysing research. You'll work with the wider teams to ensure research insights are used to improve the user experience via the creation of wireframes, visual designs and prototypes.
You'd be working closely with their Co-founder/CPO and the wider business to build amazing user interfaces, define research topics, and then you'll be conducting research using a variety of methods like focus groups, usability testing and surveys. You'll also be supporting their UX Designer with wireframing, designs and prototyping.
As their team is still pretty small this is an opportunity to make a massive impact, your voice will be heard and your suggestions will be taken on board. This is also a company with huge future plans and you'll be a key part of getting them there. They would like you to have experience in these areas:
- 4 years experience in a Design or Research role
- Comfortable explaining user needs to the wider team, and being the voice of the user
- Comfortable working with data
- Experienced with delivering concepts, personas, user journeys and storyboards
- A solid background in graphics/visual or UI Design
The fun stuff:
- Working with a bunch of genuinely lovely, not corporate, down to earth people
- Beautiful office overlooking the river with coffee, cake, and beers! Or you can work remotely if you prefer
- Shares in the company
- Personal development allowance
