Your role

Your role will be to help us transform the digital experiences for our employees under the Digital Employee Experience channel. A critical element of this role is for the successful candidate to build strong working relationships and embed into cross-functional, global teams, helping to drive forward Fidelitys strategic roadmaps. The successful candidate will need to have strong organisational skills with a key ability to prioritise and flex across a varied portfolio of work.

This role will be fundamental in terms of understanding our users needs and objectives from concept development through to wireframes, low fidelity designs & prototypes and user tests before creating high fidelity designs
  • Provide a class-leading user experience for the various Fidelity businesses by establishing user needs and consequent information structure for websites and applications, practising and embedding user-centred design (UCD) principles.
  • Identify user requirements by researching and analysing user needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods; studying how users consume content, including data categorisation and labelling; meeting with focus groups, and participating in user research conducted throughout the organisation
  • Conduct planning sessions with Stakeholders understanding timeframes, content and desired outcomes into a congruent project brief. Ensure briefs and project requirements are conveyed coherently to other team/project members
  • Plan information architecture by studying the site concept, strategy, and target audience; envisioning architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design; creating user scenarios; preparing data models; designing information structure, work-and dataflow, and navigation; evaluating information representation; conducting creative meetings.
  • Organise information by translating user behaviour into structure and elements; crafting interactive experiences; producing workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts and storyboards; navigation rules and site maps; coordinating with key business and technology stakeholders.
  • Implement information architecture by preparing interactive prototypes and mock-ups including page layout and navigational elements. Envisage how a design will translate into a useable digital experience and foresee potential issues or gaps.
  • Works as a conduit between the business and other internal customers with delivery teams, acting as a key daily point of contact for senior business stakeholders, providing progress updates, escalating issues and providing Digital representation in relevant working groups, forums, other meetings and initiatives where required
  • Provides day-to-day leadership and oversight for the management, delivery and performance of digital transformation on your change portfolio

Your skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and experience in co-facilitation of remote/in-person design workshops
  • Established track record in similar capacity / industry / coverage with demonstrable experience of stakeholder engagement at the highest level
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of influencing and motivating others at a senior level to achieve results and exceed targets. Ability to communicate complex and emotive topics to different audiences through a range of data, written and verbal methods
  • Proven experience of leadership within the transformation of a business including significant personal contribution to the success of the initiative and the measurable impact on customers, employees and performance
  • Strong creative intuition, able to deliver ground-breaking, innovative conceptual thinking, whilst also having an engineering and analytical mindset to work out organisational and business implications
  • Experience of working harmoniously with technology, compliance, risk and businesses teams to align around creating and implementing digital solutions
  • Ability to gather, synthesise, understand and communicate customer needs, motivations and behaviours and translate them into Digital experiences using design thinking and related methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience in creating UX artefacts e.g. journey maps, information architecture, prototypes and wireframes
  • Design background or strong creative intuition, able to deliver ground-breaking, innovative conceptual thinking, whilst also having an engineering and analytical mindset to work out organisational and business implications
  • Skills in design tools like Figma, Axure, Sketch, Invision and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creativity, ingenuity, resilience, friendliness with and a sense of humour to work in a fun and fast-paced team a must
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to understand and best harness the skillsets of different members of the team
