This is an exciting time to be joining this world-leading company as they transform themselves from a traditional Oil & Gas company into a leading name within the Renewables sector. This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. Project Manager:

The role of Project Manager will support the delivery of B2B projects/solutions to support the business in achieving goals in these focus areas (e.g. optimising internal processes, sharing of information, implementing new solutions) working with the business, natural teams across the company as required - IRM, Architecture, IT Engineering, SOM.

You will be expected to:
Agree and deliver a body of work, organised into programmes, projects and workstreams to agreed time, cost, quality, risk and benefit profiles, delivered within company's standards and controls framework;
Proactively analyse variances against plan to assess trends threatening agreed scope, time, cost, and quality commitments. Identify signs that a project may be at risk and take appropriate action;
Engage internal and external stakeholders such as users, customers or suppliers to fully benefit from the delivered products, services and changes;
Develop and execute appropriate change and engagement plans to achieve necessary behaviour changes in order to maximise benefits;
Align expectations and ensure that the decision-making of stakeholders happen in a timely and effective manner;
Mobilise and lead teams composed of a mixture of staff and suppliers across organisational boundaries and the natural team. Ensure they have the necessary skills, capacity and experience to achieve the required outcomes;
Develop the skills of team members through coaching, delegation and providing stretching assignments;
Understand, assess and embed the right delivery methodologies, considering project and business constraints;
Assess programme risks as they are encountered and evaluate trade-offs between cost, time, quality, risk and ultimately benefit, continuously managing the business cases of constituent projects and workstreams;
Ensure that all deliverables, whether software, hardware, processes, products or business change are fit for purpose, meet all relevant requirements and are effectively transitioned to support and business-as-usual;
Ensure that the business value intended by the work is explicit, agreed and delivered.

The project and the context to the requirements:
The project is a web-based digital platform that enables users to create models and simulations of complex energy commercial transactions, and calculates the value, risks, and trade-offs between deferment scenarios for all parties involved in the transaction, through robust, auditable financial and energy-markets fundamentals.
The platform is being built by a dedicated Agile development team comprising of individuals from across the company. This team is responsible for continuously advancing the basic building blocks (Skills), calculation, data science and methodology required to build commercial structures (Models), simulate scenarios and calculate technical and financial parameters required in the models.

The PM needs to:
Create and own the product delivery roadmap for the platform, delivering MVP by the end of 2022
Determines and manage allocation of funds for product development ($2m 2022 budget)
Aligns product to Enterprise IT & IT Engineers standards (leveraging PDC for platform development)
Manages the resourcing process to identify and bring together the right set of skill in the Product Team to drive product development and delivery
Will lead an RFP process in the second half of this year to potentially change the delivery model to an externally sourced squad
Measure the performance (commercial and technical) of the product through Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as well as key development milestones that have been set for 2022
Enables collaboration across team members from multiple CCs
Provides overarching status reporting, risk/issue tracking and resolution and team communications
Works with Product Owner and Portfolio Manager to help build and optimise the backlog of user stories, plan sprits and identify resources requirements
