Our client is currently looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join their busy team in Milton Keynes!

As a software development company in the energy sector, we are constantly seeking better ways of operating and making our processes more efficient through use of cloud technologies and development automation process.

To be considered for the Senior IT Support Engineer position, you will be an excellent communicator with a knack for explaining complex topics in simplistic terms. Comfortable owning, adapting, and delivering plans in the areas you are responsible for. You will enjoy problem-solving and troubleshooting, and have analytical skills, showing attention to detail. You will have extensive experience in infrastructure support, configuration management, change management, troubleshooting and problem solving.

Senior IT Support Engineer Duties:

You will get exposure to various cloud technologies as well as help solve complex Infrastructure problems and projects.

You will be working in a highly technical environment in a role where you'll have an impact and purpose and to be part of a dynamic and successful software development business offering a varied and challenging workload.

Senior IT Support Engineer Requirements:
  • Linux system administration
  • VMWare ESXi/vSphere administration
  • Configuration, Software, and Patch Management tools (e.g. Saltstack).
  • NetApp/SAN administration
  • Automation tools
  • Bash/Python/PowerShell Scripting
  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills

  • Docker
  • Apache, Tomcat
  • MySQL / Oracle DB
  • Saltstack / Linux configuration management
  • TCP/IP networks and firewalls
