Hays are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer supplier who are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Wednesbury.

Your new role

Your role will be critical to resolving the day-to-day Mechanical Maintenance for a leading manufacturer supplier in Wednesbury, your key responsibilities include:

+ Supporting the Mechanical Engineering team to reduce downtime and maximise key plant activity

+ Planning maintenance in line with required time frames and completing with minimal disruption to production

+ Holding effective communication between Plant Managers and Senior Engineers

What you'll need to succeed

+ Great communication and ability to build good relationships with all members of the organisation

+ Person looking to get stuck in and work collaboratively in a team

+ A advocate for adhering to Health and Safety and best practices for maintenance

+ Be proactive to solving problems

+ City and Guilds or BTEC in mechanical engineering and or Time served

+ Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering

+ Basic understanding of machinery electrical and electronic circuits and systems

+ Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge would be advantageous
