South Thames College is now looking for a Facilities Manager to join our Team across our two centres, Wandsworth and Tooting.
Within this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the two centres facilities management to ensuring the cleanliness, safety and security of the buildings and ground, coupled with the overall security arrangements, maintenance schedules and routine programmes of work along with maintenance management both directly employed and contracts.
We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual who has a positive 'can-do' approach. Reliable and well presented, you will have experience of project and change management along with a good understanding of relevant health and safety requirements. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to influence people who are not part of your team and be able to relate to young people, parents, colleagues and external 3rd parties.
With relevant professional qualifications in facilities management or a related discipline, you will have knowledge of routine preventative maintenance and be able to find solutions to seemingly complex issues. The role also requires an individual who has a professional and approachable attitude and who has experience of managing staff. You will need to be flexible over working hours and hold a full UK driving licence.
Those who are educated to A Level and above are highly desirable as are those who have experience of managing facilities in an educational setting.
