Residential Childcare Trainer
Salary £26,490 per annum, plus £1,000 per annum Shortage Skills Allowance
37 hours per week (or 2 x 0.5 fractional posts will be considered)
Temporary post until 31 st May 2023 or until the end of the maternity cover period whichever is earlier.
Lancaster & Morecambe College are looking for a Residential Childcare Trainer to join them.
Working with a supportive and dynamic team in our Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement department, you will contribute to the growth and development of apprenticeships and training programmes in Residential Childcare. With a background of management in Residential Childcare and in supporting young people in an educational environment, you will liaise with employers within the sector and market the College's training provision.
The successful applicant will receive the full support and expertise of the Residential Childcare team and LMC Business department at the College.
A recognised qualification in Residential Childcare (Level 3 or above) is essential. You must also have Specialist Child Protection training within a Residential Childcare context. If you do not already hold a Level 3 Training Assessment and Quality Assurance Award or equivalent, you will be supported to achieve this within a specified timescale.
**Holding a clean, current driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential to the role.
