Trinity from Connex Education is looking for a qualified Primary Specialist Teacher who is confident in delivering small intervention tutoring surrounding phonics, reading, writing, and SPAG in a secondary school based in Smithswood.
This role is under the National Tutoring Program which was put in place to bridge the gap in education caused by COVID-19 school closures. This prestigious school is taking advantage of the NTP ensuring their mission is achieved- "ensuring our students access a broad and wide-ranging curriculum while being supported in a structured, kind and caring environment".
This is an exciting role for any teacher looking to make a difference to a child's life and see the impact 1:1 or small group intervention tutoring can have.
You will be required to:
Tutor face-to-face in a school on a small group basis
Liaise with school regards to planning to help the assigned pupils catch up on missed learning and bridge the gap in their education caused by schools' closures
Completion of our mandatory tutoring training is required before starting work.
As a successful tutor, you will:
Have recent experience in teaching and/or tutoring
You MUST have Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status
Good knowledge of the national curriculum
Be able to explain key concepts fluently and accurately
Be prepared to tutor face to face.
The ability to work to the school's scheme of work and provide constructive and effective feedback
Good time management to fully utilise the sessions.
Completion of our mandatory tutoring training is required before starting work which will be provided free of charge.
