This is an exciting opportunity to apply for an English Teacher post at a secondary school in the borough of Sutton. They're an oversubscribed, mixed, secondary school that works with learners unable to access mainstream education. They have an excellent, supportive English department. The SEMH school assess the learners' needs and endeavour to get them back intothe appropriate settings.
The school are keen to meet qualified teachers who can teach KS3-KS4 English Language and English Literature syllabus with proficient subject knowledge in the area. This is a subject specialism so a successful candidate will need to be able to: plan, mark, assess, and work well with the deprartment of English to help pupils meet their grades.
If you can deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in English, apply for this job. You'll be joining a tight-knit team, working towards raising student attainment through outstanding teaching. You'll also receive ongoing support and training from the school. The successful applicant will have experience teaching English across KS3-KS4.

Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high and adhering to all Teacher Standards
Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example
Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies (if and when needed)The applicant must hold an enhanced clear DBS on the update service.
