Employing over 15,000 across 180 sites spread across the world, this engineering giant are a true powerhouse in their specific fields and offer world-class products and services to customers spread across a variety of industries, including Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical Processing, Food/FMCG Manufacturing.

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for providing support and advice to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. To lead by example and identify opportunities that support continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.

Duties for the Environmental Health and Safety Manager include:

Maintenance of an integrated management system and associated documentation within the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Provision of ESH support and advice for Falkirk and Aberdeen.
Promote and coach others in the implementation of the ESH Management System by personal example and leadership.
Ensure that Safe Systems of Work are developed and implemented for all activities, through risk assessment and operating procedures.
Plan and support the completion of suitable and sufficient risk assessments.
Manage the local audit and inspection program to ensure effectiveness and compliance to the ESH Management System.
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure ESH requirements are implemented.
Planning and co-ordinating external and customer audits.
Establish and maintain an effective system for identifying, reporting and implementation of corrective actions resulting from system non-conformance, investigations, statutory examinations or other inspection requirements.Competences required of the Environmental Health and Safety Manager:

NEBOSH National General Certificate.
Membership of relevant bodies (IQA/IEMA/IOSH).
Relevant experience within an Environmental Health and Safety Manager role.
Knowledge of UK/European ESH standards/legislation.
Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace.Behaviours required of the Environmental Health and Safety Manager:
