Learning Support Coach
An exciting opportunity has a risen for a Learning Support Assistant for a small, 14-19 secondary school in Liverpool. This 'GOOD' Ofsted rated school is based in Liverpool city centre so is easily accessible by public transport.
The school are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant or Graduate to support a Key Stage 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis to assist their learning experience throughout the school day.
The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until July 2022 and then reconvene in September for the full academic year, until July 2023. The rate of pay will range from £75 - £85 a day depending on experience.
You will need:-
To work collaboratively with the SENDCo and other members of staff;
be responsible for making learning as accessible as possible for the Key Stage 4 student whilst being empathetic and patience, ensuring they are as engaged as much as possible.
To provide support, guidance, mentoring and training to ensure the individual achieves their full potential
To develop the students' emotional intelligence, relationship skills and resilience to prepare them for their next steps.
To support the student to develop effective organisational and learning skills
To liaise with parents to ensure alignment of home/school expectations
To support learning across a range of subjects especially English and Maths The successful applicant will need:-
To have experience of working with young people OR be a graduate working towards a PGCE OR hold a Teaching Assistant qualification
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
