Tradewind Recruitment are working with a multi form entry primary school in Saltley who are appointing a Year 5 Teacher to cover a Maternity leave starting September 2022. This can be either an experienced teacher or ECT.
The school is a caring and welcoming, child centred school which promotes children's rights and works closely with UNICEF to uphold a right respecting ethos. The school have high expectations of all their children and look for ways to enable them to find their strengths and reach their potential. They recognise that children learn best when their self-esteem is high and therefore, they have designed a curriculum, alongside pastoral support, that enables every child to have confidence in themselves.
You would be fortunate to work with a team of staff who are dedicated and hard working. Together, you would provide interesting learning experiences for the children, whether these are in the classroom, on educational visits or in our many extra-curricular clubs. This school want their children to have life skills which will help them to become responsible citizens and prepare them for life in modern Britain.
In addition to there investment with there children the school have taken onboard a lot of feedback from staff and invested back into there well being with things like wellbeing days, early finishes, and wellbeing spaces within school with refreshments.
The chosen candidate can be either an experienced teacher or a strong ECT. Experience teaching Year 5 is desirable but not essential, you just need to be committed, reliable and willing to go above and beyond for your pupils. The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management as well as strong curriculum knowledge.
