PURPOSE OF THE JOB:Voyage Care's IT Services department is currently undertaking a broad, far-reachingand exciting change programme in its delivery of IT operations to the business, it'sstaff and customers. As part of this programme, the security of our data and systemsis fundamentally important and will be at the heart of everything we do.The successful candidate will provide IT security expertise and support for thebusinesses IT infrastructure, systems, operating systems and software. This role isthe final engineering escalation point for all IT security issues faced by theorganisation and therefore requires someone with excellent knowledge and a goodamount of experience in the Cyber Security technology space.Working with IT colleagues and the IT Infrastructure and Services manager, you willneed to be able to properly secure the IT systems, plan for possible breaches andcreate contingency measures to be able to mitigate for potential issues.The role will be predominately remote, but there will be occasions where travel toGroup Support buildings in Lichfield, Staffs, will be required.We are committed to investing in our team, and so after successful completion of the probation access to the Pluralsight learning library will be provided, and additional training made available in line with a personal development plan.Voyage Care is a 24 x 7 x 365 business so this position will require shift work (with additional remuneration as is appropriate) once thesuccessful candidate has gained sufficient operating knowledge (as deemed fit by the department manager).KEY RESULT AREAS:1. Develop, deploy and operate a new SIEM for the business as well as othersecurity applications and tools.2. Provide excellent IT technical engineering security expertise for servers,clients, services and applications, both virtual and physical. These systems andservices will be a mixture of on-premises and in private and public cloud.3. Provide IT technical engineering security expertise and support for the networkinfrastructure, contributing to its design, implementation and operation.4. Perform vulnerability assessments across all IT systems, using the results toadvise and assist in the development and deployment of subsequentremediation.5. Working with the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager and other IT staff,plan for potential breaches and ways to mitigate and minimise the impact itwould have.6. Undertake regular phishing tests for the business and work with externalpartners to carry out penetration tests and participate in the development andoperation of resulting actions plans.7. Play a fundamental role in the patching of all IT infrastructure8. Working with the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager and other IT staff todevelop the corporate network, systems and security as and when required.9. Root cause analysis of IT security issues and implement appropriate solutions.10. Implement IT projects that are defined and planned with the liaison of theIT Infrastructure and Services Manager11. Participate in the development and maintenance of the DR processes.12. Create and maintain documentation of IT services and operation.13.
