Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a SEN school based in York and are looking to hire a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to start 1st September 2022. The school caters for pupils aged 4 - 16 and have a higher intake of pupils with SEND such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) additional needs, including challenging behaviours. The school aim to equip their pupils with essential life skills before they continue their journey onto further education.

Key Information

• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday (8:30 - 3:30pm)

• Must hold a TA qualifications Level 3 or equivalent in health and social or childcare

• School experience is desirable

• Competitive hourly rate from £10.77 p/h

The school will require you to be able to adapt easily and quickly to a new environment, there may be challenging situations and behaviours that arise so having the ability to deal with these in a calm and professional manner is a requirement. You must put the needs and wellbeing of the pupils before your own and be able to form trusting and respectful relationships with the pupils in your care.
