Our client is a rapidly expanding practice that specialises in providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a varied client base consisting of individuals and businesses, primarily within the music, entertainment and sport industries, as well as High Net Worth Individuals.
They are now looking for a dynamic accountant to work on a varied portfolio in their Audit and Financial Reporting Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that departmental reporting targets are being consistently met in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
• Preparing financial statements for clients including Statutory Accounts
• Preparing Corporation Tax returns, including tagging of iXBRL accounts and onward submission to HMRC
• Preparing Self Assessment tax returns
• Preparing management accounts, tour reports and net worth statements
• Assisting in the planning and preparation of audits
• Managing trainee accountants and apprentices, including day-to-day communication and motivation, as well as succession planning and performance management
• Reviewing work prepared by junior members of staff
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and EC Sales Lists (occasionally)
• Occasional assistance with preparing and submitting monthly payroll and pensions
• Liaising with clients and various third party organisations, to include HMRC, financial organisations, tour managers and record labels etc
Requirements
• ACCA or ACA qualified
• Confident preparing accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
