Ashberry Recruitment are looking for a Client Support Adviser for our client based on the outskirts of Preston, near Fulwood.

The successful candidate must have protection/group risk knowledge within the insurance industry.

Role Specific Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Consultants with administration of a portfolio of Individual and Group Risk protection policies
  • Contacting clients to arrange adviser appointments
  • Corresponding with insurers to obtain policy information on behalf of consultants and advising of any changes made to policies and recording on firm's database
  • Ensuring the firm's database is always up to date
  • Creating tasks where necessary for ongoing/unresolved enquiries, renewals, new business (chasing Consultants, Clients, Insurers)
  • To ensure that your allocated 'task list' is always kept up to date complying with the firm's SLA's
  • To answer any client queries accurately and in a professional and timely manner and to keep accurate clear and concise records for audit trail purposes
  • To deal with incoming correspondence/enquiries received via post/email/telephone and action as necessary and ensure that the firm's database is kept up to date to provide an audit trail
  • Assisting Consultants in obtaining individual and group risk quotations
  • Assisting Consultants with the submission of new business applications. Where necessary chasing clients and insurers re outstanding requirements such as medical reports
  • Processing new and renewal business policy submissions, ensuring all policies are recorded correctly on the firm's database. Meeting compliance requirements, confirming correct supporting documentation is attached to the client file
  • Ensuring that all information received is treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act
  • Assist in maintaining good working relationships with insurance companies
  • Occasional 'out of hours' working may be required

Personal Specification
  • Possess a good educational background and must be IT literate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and self-management skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Experience of administering Life & Protection policies is essential for both group and individual protection
  • Knowledge of Group Risk products is essential
  • Flexible attitude and a good team player and have a highly developed sense of personal initiative

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience of working as an administrator within the Financial Services Industry is essential along with having knowledge of the various types of Life Assurance and Protection policies. The ideal candidate will also possess a genuine interest in progressing within our firm and have a good standard of education.
