An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT and Simulators Apprentice to join the Maritime team. The position is full-time working 37 hours per week. Initial salary of £11,000 increasing to national minimum wage for the successful applicant after year one.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, and effective operation the simulators and resources within the School. To provide support for lecturers, specialist practitioners and students.

You will also undertake the BSc (Hons) Digital Technology Solutions L6 Degree Apprenticeship. Further information on the Apprenticeship standard can be found by viewing the vacancy on the B&FC website.

Daily duties may include:

* Working with the Simulator Technical Officer to ensure maintenance and working order of equipment and resources within Maritime Operations including simulator

* Using B&FC's procurement software to raise orders, check and receive materials and equipment required to their designated area

* Administration duties necessary for the efficient running of the School

* Assisting with providing support to students in practical workshops/classrooms under guidance and instruction from lecturers
