Digital Marketing Assistant - Email MarketingBirmingham, West MidlandsOur client has been proudly supporting jewellers across the country since 1918, with everything from precious metals to jewellery tools. They form part of a group, one of Europe's largest refiners and processors of precious metals.Based in the heart of the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, they are a friendly, well-established but growing business of 280 employees. With almost 60% of employees having worked for our client for over 5 years, why not come and join the team?They are currently looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Assistant - Email Marketing to join their team. In return, they will provide you with on the job training, guidance and support you need to build on your existing expertise.What you'll be doing:As a Digital Marketing Assistant for email marketing, you will be doing the following:- Create, maintain and optimise the email marketing strategy including design, set-up, schedule and delivery- Understand, review and manage customer lifecycle stages within email marketing, focused on delivering improved customer acquisition and retention- Write creative content for email, including strong and engaging email copy and subject lines- Implement A/B testing within email marketing campaigns including content, subject lines, template designs, etc.- Improve email sign up rates, manage email audiences and user lists- Review and utilise relevant software to create personalised and dynamic content within email marketing- Liaise and work with ecommerce team to ensure promotional activity is implemented- Get involved in digital marketing projects and campaigns- Complete regular reports and conduct competitor research to identify areas for improvement and keep up to date with best practice and current trendsWhat you'll need to bring to the show:- A degree qualification or equivalent in Marketing or Business with knowledge of digital marketing, and at least two year's industry experience in similar role (post qualification)- A good knowledge of email marketing including UX and persuasive email writing- Familiarity of Dotdigital or other mailing platform as well as Knowledge of Marketing & E-Commerce theory, practice and methodology- Ideally experience in Photoshop or other design software- Outstanding interpersonal skills- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment- Proficient in Microsoft office programmesWhat our client can offer you in return:- An excellent opportunity to build breadth of experience in your field- Employee Assistance Programme - with free access to a GP, counselling & legal advice for you and your household- Interest free loans for travel to work costs (annual travel passes/parking permits/clean air zone passes)- Up to 34 days' paid leave per year (26+8 Bank Holidays)- A generous Pension Scheme, employee contributions are matched by the company up to 8%- Life Assurance up x6 salaryHours of WorkThe working week totals 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday.
