Job description:
Communications Manager for a blue-chip Financial Services company. Reporting into the Head of Communications this is a new role that will provide effective external and internal communications. The office is based in Central London and they work a hybrid model, wioth 2 days per week on-site. You will be tasked with running a Press Office, plus assist with Strategic Communications.
General tasks for the Communications Manager:
· - Work with the business units to deliver an effective, positive and profile-enhancing PR approach in support of business objectives.
· - Protect and enhance the reputation and understanding of the Group.
· - Support the Head of Corporate Communications in providing strategic and tactical comms counsel.
· - Support with crisis management comms counsel and co-ordination.
· - Work with colleagues in the parent Group teams on alignment with Group-wide external and internal messaging.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
· Excellent writing and communication skills
· Excellent planning and organisational skills
· Deep specialisation within Communications/ PR/ Journalism environment (ideally within Financial Services)
· Experience of/good understanding of working in a press office
· Interest in, and good knowledge of, business and Financial Services
· Flexible approach and enthusiastic attitude towards learning new skills
· Microsoft Office literate (PPT and Word)
