Job Description

The focus of this role will be working with stakeholders to understand and develop metrics that deliver insight to the business - in doing so, you will develop reports, KPI scorecards and dashboards using Power BI.Furthermore, be part of a team dedicated to making positive change, transforming an industry and helping our planet.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Be a trusted business partner for the organisation's data and analytics requirements.
  • Play a key role in growing the adoption of data-driven insights in influencing business decision-making.
  • Where necessary, educate non-data colleagues around reporting and metrics.
  • Build and maintain accurate, visual-driven reporting and leverage this to generate actionable insight.
  • Prioritise competing stakeholder requirements and where appropriate have the vision and confidence to bring together colleagues from different parts of the organisation to deliver the most useful reporting and insight.

Knowledge & Experience
  • Advanced Excel skills required, such as familiarity with utilising VBA.
  • Experience with SQL preferred, at the very least demonstrable ability and willingness to learn and utilise.
  • Basic understanding of data visualisation principles, some hands-on experience preferred (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy).
  • Familiarity with analysing data to produce well-structured and defendable insights and calls to action is essential.
  • Ability to establish and cultivate stakeholder relationships, in turn becoming a trusted partner for analytical support.
  • Strong curiosity for uncovering meaning in data and confidence in storytelling your insights.

Additional Information
  • Remote working available for this role with occasional days in our Head office in Milton Keynes. May be occasional travel to other bp locations.
