Management Accountant

Our client a Blue Chip household name within the Engineering & Energy sector require a Qualified Finance Business Partner to join their Commercial Finance team, initially on a temporary Contract to cover both Management Accounting activities and Finance Business Partnering

The Management Accountant is responsible for producing the monthly management accounts f. You will manage the month-end process and deliver timely and accurate monthly management reports and profit/cost centre information for each activity

• Produce accurate and timely monthly performance reports, understanding and communicate the key messages, and provide relevant analysis where appropriate.
• Work with operational teams to improve financial performance, developing meaningful management information to ensure effective control
• Processing accounting transactions
• Run and maintain the Results Analysis reports
• Investigate, challenge and correct Results Analysis output
• Collection and analysis of financial information as required by operational managers
• Provide analysis of costing information on an ad-hoc basis
• Produce detailed Budgets, Forecasts and medium term plan (MTP)
• Assist in the preparation of supporting data for input into Regulatory Reporting Pack and regulatory returns
• In conjunction with line manager continuously refine the SAP modules to optimise reporting functionality

Qualified accountant. ACA / ACCA / CIMA

Track record of delivering results and challenging the norm.

Highly numerate with a strong commercial aptitude.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
