Electrical Engineering Manager - Automation / Manufacturing / FMCG

Windsor, Berkshire £55-60K plus Benefits and bonus

I am currently looking to recruit an Electrical Engineering Manager to join my client based in Windsor, Berkshire.

Reporting to the Technical Services Director, the Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safe and effective running of all Electrical engineering functions within the Engineering department.

Role Description
To work with the Technical Services Director in planning of annual engineering activities and to ensure that the department is well set up and sufficiently resourced in order to deliver ride availability targets and business KPI's during the operational season and winter maintenance period.

Responsible for the delivery of the statutory and reliability Annual Inspection of all rides and attractions within the jurisdiction of the engineering department, ensuring that all rides are compliant with the Amusement

Device Inspection Procedure Scheme (ADIPS) and are handed back over to the operation to agreed dates.

To review existing departmental procedures, to implement new strategies and business directives for the efficient operation and management of the engineering department and the wider business.

Ensuring all Health & Safety legislation, codes of practice and company procedures are strictly followed and that all work within the Engineering department results in compliance with ADIPS, HSG175 and HASWA 1974.

To provide leadership, support and consistent communication to the Engineering Duty Managers and Team Leaders

To manage the performance of the department's managerial teams and to support performance management of the Engineering teams in order to gain a productive workforce with an effective work ethic and a good team spirit.

To manage departmental budgets, keeping track of expenditure to ensure value for money, and to provide accurate and timely month end forecasts

To administer Personal Development Plans for your direct reports including the setting and review of personal objectives, succession plans and training. To oversee the administration of all PDP's within your area of responsibility.

To carry out a hands-on engineering role when required

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

Qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent within an Electrical Engineering / Technician discipline

Experience of fault finding and use of programmable logic controls (PLC's) such as; Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi.

Experience of working within a heavy industrial / automated environment such as; FMCG, Manufacturing,

FMCG, Logistics, Airport or Theme Park

Experience of leading a team to achieve availability KPI's

Experience of running a engineering budget
