The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment have been approached by a public practice in Edinburgh to assist them in the recruitment of an internal auditor.

The firm are well established and have a legacy that is unparalleled in the industry! The firm have been expanding organically and have spotted an opportunity to grow their internal audit offering.

The internal audit team cover various aspects of a companies affairs from finance, process, IT and general compliance. The team currently consist of a number of CIA and ACCA/CA qualified accountants who report into a manager who is has a reputation of getting the best out of their team and developing talent.

The role can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow and will be blended between working in the office and working from home (60% - 40%), although there will be travel expected to client premisses.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide internal audit services to a range of organisations ranging from private and public sector business.

The role will involve planning, performing and completing audit assignments. You will be expected to work closely with internal stakeholders such as partners and the management team to ensure all works are completed within agreed timeframes and budgets.

The Requirements
We would prefer applicants to be either CIA/ACCA/CA qualified (or equivalent), however exceptional part qualified applicants will be considered. The role is a client facing position and as such exceptional communication and presentation skills are essential. We are seeking specific UK internal audit experience in either a public sector, commercial clients or both. We are keen to see a blend of internal audit exposure such as IT, financial etc, however if an applicant has a specific specialism, our client is very happy to grow in that direction. The team are incredibly self sufficient and need little in the way of direction which is an attribute we are also looking for.
