The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a premium drinks business in Scotland who`s name in internationally synonyms with the country. Due to some high profile work that we have been doing recently with the company, we have been invited to assist them in the recruitment of a payroll processor for their operational facility in Cumbernauld.

The team is the payroll specialist within the shared service centre and are currently responsible for the delivery of monthly payroll services to approximately 2,500 staff members throughout the UK.

In future months this number is going to rise with the addition of the businesses international payroll requirements being added to the teams existing workload.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to provide timely payroll services to our clients staff on a monthly basis. The payroll process is complex with a large number of staff having additional renumeration depending on shift patterns, locations of work not to mention a large number of additional anomalies/complexities. As such a proportion of your time can be expected to be taken up in query resolution, manual calculations and general investigative work.

On a day to day basis you can expect to be involved in the following;
Accurate preparation and processing of the groups 6 monthly UK payrolls and overseas payrolls ensuring deadlines are adhered to and payments authorised in line with the Group Banking Mandate.

Ensure the current legislative and contractual deductions are applied, paid timely and authorised in line with the Group Banking Mandate to the relevant external bodies and in accordance to HMRC guidelines.

Work with HR administrators to ensure smooth running of payroll on a day to day basis and liaise with HR leaders to ensure the implementation of new payroll policies.

Management of the process and payment of overseas Taxes and UK NI where applicable for overseas secondee's.

Support Transactional Processing Leader to implement and embed new payroll projects working with HR, GTS and payroll provider.

Manage and reconcile Payroll Control Accounts for month end and year end in line with Group Reporting timetable.

Complete the financial tax year end sending end of year summaries, P35's,P14 on-line to HMRC and issue p60's to all employees in line with HMRC timetable.

Review processes on an ongoing basis, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and proposing/ implementing these with input/authorisation from the Transactional Processing Leader as appropriate.

The Requirements

The role will work closely with various stakeholders within the business. We are requiring individuals who have worked in high volume payroll environments and who have an ability to pick up and run with some complex payrolls.
