General Summary

The Senior Marketing Coordinator executes on marketing campaigns and contributes to the development of graphics, video and audio content for marketing campaigns as well as in-person experiences. Working cross-departmentally within the MCMS (Marketing, Conferences, Member Services & Sales) Division, this position manages outbound marketing campaigns related to regional European events and other events, products and services as assigned. In addition, this position supports member communications and regional events logistics as needed. Successful management of these responsibilities relies on interfacing with various departments to ensure the established marketing, events and communications strategies are fulfilled and deadlines are met.


  • Creates and edits email copy, manages distribution lists and schedules email marketing campaigns for European events, webinars, divisions, FIA affiliates, member onboarding and FIA products and services
  • Contributes to the development of marketing materials by drafting content and proofing materials
  • Produces monthly reports on key member communication engagement
  • Tracks conversions from emails/social media to event registrations
  • Builds and manages webpages on behalf of advocacy, webinars, products, events and communications teams
  • Supports email and social media releases related to member communications, key advocacy initiatives and FIA affiliates in collaboration with the Global Communications team
  • Maintains all publication subscriptions for FIA
  • Manages the editing schedule for daily newsletter FIA SmartBrief across Europe and US

Design/Digital Production
  • Creates event branding and marketing materials for in-person and virtual events as assigned
  • Creates engaging video content to promote FIA conferences and events, webinars, products and services
  • Edits video content for webinars, creates virtual and live conference highlight videos and edits pre-recorded sessions
  • Delivers design and digital production support for FIA's products and services (ex. FIA Training, Data, MarketVoice, Documentation Library, CCP Risk Review)
  • Supports podcast recordings and digital production requirements and promotional graphics as requested
  • Provides design support for other teams, including business development and advocacy, as assigned
  • Helps execute livestreaming and filming of hybrid and in-person events
  • Supports the design and digital production efforts of FIA's global brand across its digital channels

  • Supports the Events Manager with logistics and on-site execution for events in London and other European centres, including FIA's annual International Derivatives Expo, the annual charity Gala dinner, European member forums and briefings, and other events
  • Provides webinar technical support and logistical coordination for speakers and attendees
  • Supports the logistical planning and marketing requirements for fundraising events benefiting the industry's charity, Futures For Kids

  • Trained to degree level
  • 3-4 years experience in a marketing/communications environment
  • Ability to articulate and manage projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task; must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines accurately and simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Adobe apps including InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, and PremierePro
  • Experience with creating and managing content in CMS (Drupal preferred) and/or basic knowledge of HTML is a plus
  • Experience using an email platform, such as Adestra, MailChimp, Informz or Marketo is a plus
  • Experience using a customer database is a plus
  • Knowledge of social media management tools is a plus
  • Experience working for an association or professional society is a plus
  • Exceptional customer service skills and able to maintain a friendly and positive attitude, particularly when interacting with event attendees and organization's members, to best represent FIA.
