JOB- Mechanical Assembly Engineer LOCATION- Taunton TERM- PermanentSALARY- Dependant on experience + Shift PremiumMy client is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis around Taunton. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of general hands-on Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and have a can-do attitude to join their team.The Mechanical Assembly Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• HNC qualified in an engineering discipline or time served apprenticeship with experience
• A fully time served Mechanical Engineer
• Knowledge of Pneumatics' would be a bonus
• Ability to understand technical drawings
• Hands-on standard of working / problem solving skills / fault-finding
• Energetic and self-motivated
• Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team

The Mechanical Assembly Engineer role will involve:

• Hands on mechanical / Electrical maintenance on a day-to-day basis
• As a Mechanical Assembly Engineer your responsibilities will include building and assembling a wide range of machines to engineering drawings and standards
• The role will include tasks such as, fitting bearings, taper lock pulleys and gears, running Pneumatic pipework etc
• Following company Health and Safety guidelines / procedures
