NES Fircroft is helping a successful company find a skilled and collaborative Inspection Engineer to join their inclusive and thriving team. This full-time inspection engineering role is based in Hull and offers a generous salary and benefits.

As a flexible Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for the integrity and safety of the plant and equipment by preparing, carrying out and reporting on physical inspections to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safe, reliable operations.

In your first few weeks in this Inspection Engineer role, you can expect to:
  • Act as SPA for all integrity support for the asset and have daily interactions across disciplines and asset roles
  • Specify inspection, preparation and NDT requirements
  • Liaise closely with Asset Engineers and System teams to ensure master SAP data is supported by associated schedules and reporting establishment
  • Support Asset Integrity Engineers with developing TAR inspection plans and the management and control of all TAR inspection resources and activities for the asset
  • Be responsible for inspection schedules for statutory and integrity mechanical items
  • Be accountable for Competent Person' duties

To apply for this engineering role, you must be degree qualified with proven industrial experience or have an equivalent experience base within a similar industry sector. You will also need significant discipline-specific experience in an operations environment. Additional requirements include:
  • Initial experience in an inspection or integrity engineering role, with a desire to develop expertise in this area
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and applicable statutory and company requirements and standards
  • Expertise in site induction, plant process familiarisation and site organisation
  • Familiarity with site safety systems
  • Knowledge of relevant site standing orders, including management of change
  • Expertise in EIS Quality Management System and inspection practices
