TSR are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Contracts Manager for one of our established lighting clients based in Hinckley.
Role and responsibility:
-Support and manage a range of sales and electrical installation activities, to maintain and deliver contracts in accordance with agreed business plans.
-Manage and oversee engineers and installation on site and attend relevant site meetings.
-Co-ordinate engineer workload in accordance with project pipeline.
-Liaising closely with senior management and the client.
-Control and monitor the material and sub-contract procurement when required.
-Plan and carry out commercial projects to agreed targets and timescales.
-Ensure projects are completed within time, budget and to the specified standard.
-Programming of works.
-Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
-Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and sales methods.
-Manage and monitor material deliveries.
-Oversee and resolve any design issues on site.
-Interpret and understand the requirements of any specified drawings.
-Carry out pre-handover inspection of all systems and attend handover meetings as required.
-Ensure Health & Safety policy and site-specific Health & Safety are being adhered to, advising where there are areas of concern.
-Demonstrate commitment to the IMSM system and ISO 9001/14001, and help ensure the company complies with the relevant processes. Report to senior management on opportunities for improvement or change requirements and to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001/14001
- Confident and able to put together quotes and support the sales team as required.
-Related mechanical & technical qualifications
-Proven track record in the mechanical industry with supervisory/management experience.
-Competent at writing business letters, quotations and proposals
-Driving licence required
-Forklift licence preferable
You will be in the office for 2/3 days and then have 2/3 days field based.
