ob Title: Area Operations Manager, Oxfordshire & Berkshire

Responsible for: Team Managers

Job Purpose

You're responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of a number of Key2

projects and their support service and staff. It's your job to make sure that Key2's

activities run safely, smoothly, and effectively and that client work is underpinned by

safeguarding and the promotion of their welfare.

Responsibilities

Oversee the team manager(s) and coordinate the work of Key2 projects and allocated to this role
Ensure that Key2's safeguarding, risk management, equality, and diversity, health and safety and other corporate policies are fully implemented at all times
Ensure that opportunities for clients to be involved in the development of Key2services are maximised and supported
To ensure allocated Key2 services meet high standards, and run in an appropriate, safe, and effective way in line with the company's policies and practices
Lead, manage and develop the team manager (s) and support staff, providing the right mix of support, supervision, appraisal and training to get the best for and from each person
Run Key2 services so that they meet or exceed all the requirements set out in contracts and service agreements
Assist the Head of Operations to keeping all Key2 policies, procedures and practices up to date and in line with the law and best practice
Represent Key2 at interagency forums, networks, and initiatives the jobs or services provided, without altering the general character or level of responsibility.
Assist in generating and securing new business and opportunities
Work as part of the Area Operations Management Team and cover for colleagues as required
Cover the backup manager service as required. Key Competencies
Proven experience of managing high quality services and achieving excellent standards of customer care (at least three year's experience)
Proven and demonstrable ability to manage and motivate individuals and teams to ensure their optimum performance
Proven and demonstrable ability to act as a designated lead for safeguarding,risk management and the promotion of staff and client welfare
Ability to resolve problems in a sensitive, resourceful and creative way and to support the staff to do the same
Ability to set boundaries, to challenge appropriately, and to manage conflict constructively
Demonstrates a flexible attitude towards working with teams dispersed across wide geographical area
Experience of working positively and successfully with vulnerable young people, including those who have been in care (at least 5 year's experience)
Experience of managing shared and supported housing properties (ideally at least three year's)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven and demonstrable experience of liaison and negotiation with partner agencies
Excellent understanding of and commitment to equality, diversity and fairness
Good level of numeracy and the ability to produce and analyse statistical reports and financial information
Demonstrates good knowledge of law, regulations and other areas affecting clients
Good level of computer and technology literacy
