Care Home Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Care Home Manager/Acting/Deputy to join a friendly team in a management position as the new Manager for a Care Home.

A 24 bed (with plans to extend further) Residential Care Home in Holmewood, Chesterfield providing care for clients who are elderly, may with dementia. They are passionate about providing high quality care in a home from home environment.

They are a close team that work in an open, transparent and flat structure where your opinion and experience would be highly valued as they look to deliver the best possible care experience to their residents.

They were setup by a passionate team as a "Boutique" Care Home operator to enrich and provide its residents with a serene, safe warm and comfortable yet more personalised, stylish and intimate home.

About the Care Home Manager

The ideal Care Home Manager will be

caring and compassionate with previous experience working in a management role in a residential care home (either as Manager/ Deputy or Acting)
qualified to a minimum of NVQ Health & Social Care Level 5, or be willing to work towards a level 5.
About the role:

As a Care Home manager you will play an important role leading their team, helping them deliver high standards of care to their residents. This is a varied role however the main duties will include:

Supporting the care team with best practice, training and support
Carrying out assessments and admissions of new residents
Writing, updating and reviewing care plans
Maintain digital records and digitisation
Building professional relationships with stake holders and able to deal with regulators/ regulatory requests
Delivering a warm and friendly service, in welcoming relatives and healthcare professionals to their home
Ensuring audits completed on time
Overseeing charts documents /checking senior and monitoring documentation
Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and evidence maintained correctly
Must have experience in using MS Excel and MS Word
You will:

Experience of person-centred care plans
Experience of leading a team
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of our residents
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Knowledge of CQC regulations
Knowledge & understanding of dementia
