Invitation to tender for the appointment of:
Activity Plan and Evaluation Consultants to support Vicars' Close: A Medieval Street Singing Through the Centuries.
What activities would you plan to increase engagement and participation with the heritage of Vicar's Close, the oldest intact continuously inhabited medieval street in Europe, which has been home to Wells Cathedral Choir, the Vicars' Choral for the past 650 years?
Wells Cathedral has received a Development Phase grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to repair and restore the Close, to create a brand-new interpretation centre within and to develop a strategy to assist the project to achieve its learning and engagement aims.
The Chapter of Wells Cathedral wishes to appoint consultants to carry out Activity Planning during the projects Development Phase and Evaluation Services for the Development and Delivery phases (subject to a successful Round Two application).
Consultants may apply for one or both pieces of work.
If you are a dynamic and creative professional who is familiar with heritage and community engagement projects, knowledge-sharing, volunteering programmes, interpretation incorporating digital interpretation, learning programmes and co-creation/co-curation projects, incorporation of environmental sustainability and evaluation of activities then we'd love to hear from you.
You will be joining the new Project Team at the start of an exciting development phase which is expected to be completed by 15th March 2024.
The deadline for receipt of tenders is noon on Friday 8th July 2022. Tenders received after this time will not be considered. Interviews for successful candidates are expected to be held on Thursday 14th July 2022.
