Are you seeking an opportunity to support young and vulnerable children?

A friendly school located in Wokingham is currently Recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support children within KS2 suffering from mental health & learning disabilities this academic year. The school are prioritising applicants who are enthusiastic, energetic and show a real passion for supporting children. If you volunteered or worked for mental health charities, or have experience working with vulnerable children would be ideal.

The teaching assistant will hold responsibilities of general classroom support, involving helping the class teacher with preparation of lessons as well as delivery and helping children with their learning. The main focus will be numeracy and literacy; however extra-curricular activities will also be a part of the role. The teaching assistant will be working with small groups and also 1:1 with the children for example to help them with their reading. The successful candidate must have a minimum of a C in GCSE Maths and English.
