This is a brand-new role, joining a charity with a track record of looking after their people (Investors in People / Best Companies to work for UK). You will be helping ex-offenders to move into apprenticeships with employers. The team you are joining help ex-offenders to gain support to help them rehabilitate alongside securing employment. They now have extra funding for 18 months (so this is a fixed term contract) for someone to come on board to develop an apprenticeship offering. Key focus of the role will be
  • Identify key types of apprenticeships that could be of interest to the ex-offenders working with the team
  • Connect and build up a small list of relevant apprenticeship providers who can deliver the qualifications
  • Reach out to new (and existing) employers who work with the charity to provide an apprenticeship option.
To apply, its essential you have previously worked within apprenticeships. Ideally in a role that has involved liaising with employers. You might have previously worked as an Assessor, Tutor, Learner Engagement Consultant or Employer Engagement Consultant. Please apply via this advert - everyone gets a response (and if you receive an email to say we don't think your CV is a match, you can easily get extra feedback from a person around this). Feel free to call the office also if you would like to speak to someone about the role - ask for James (number on the Red 5 People website). Please note: This is a hybrid role, so likely 3 days home and 1 - 2 days travelling and meeting employers.
