Financial Controller

Financial Controller - Grimsby - Up to £80,000 & Package Chase & Holland are proud to be partnering an innovative, forward-thinking FMCG business based in Grimsby to recruit a Financial Controller. This is an exciting time to join during a positive period of change and to play a key role in the future direction and growth of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will oversee all financial reporting, payroll and corporate governance, including statutory and tax compliance. You will also manage the relationships with key external stakeholders including with HMRC, audit and banks. Key Responsibilities as Financial Controller will include:

• Provide guidance to the business to all prevailing financial reporting and corporate governance
• Oversee the production of transparent, timely financial and management information to the business
• Detailed financial reporting to highlight any risks & opportunities and facilitate inventions to improve business performance
• Review and develop all financial systems, policies and reporting ensuring efficient internal controls and reporting timetable
• Management of cashflow and liaising with the banks
• Mentor, develop and lead the finance and payroll teams
• Management of budgeting, forecasting and working capital
• Production of statutory reporting and related submissions
• Work with the FD to engineer improved business performance and achieve optimum profit and cash generation
• Play an integral role in the review, development and implementation of the ERP system across sites

Requirements:My client is looking to find someone who is:

• Qualified Accountant with relevant experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Strong leadership skills
• Continuous improvement mentality
• Strong people skills and ability to take people on a journey with you
• Ability to challenge the status quo
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP systems

In return you will receive:As a Financial Controller you will receive a salary of £70,000 - £80,000 (depending on skills and experience), 25 days holiday (plus stat) and other benefits such as free onsite parking, hybrid and flexible working hours.
