As an Underwriter you will provide a high standard of underwriting knowledge and risk assessment whilst adhering to all of the client's lending criteria.

Duties Include:
  • Reviewing residential mortgage applications from Customers & Brokers, making sure these are kept within the agreed SLA.
  • Ensure risk is minimised by adhering to all lending criteria using information from all sources.
  • Providing an accurate evaluation to ensure the outcome is affordable & feasible for the Customer.
  • Ensuring all applications remain up to date by swiftly and accurately reviewing correspondence from Third parties.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with Brokers by providing regular and clear updates on active applications.
  • Managing your own caseload.
  • Showing strong rationale against any lending decision.

Experience:
  • Knowledge of the underwriting process.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communications skills.
