What you'll do

The Business System & Process Analyst will be responsible for optimising and supporting business operations by providing day to day technical support along with analysing and evaluating the use of business system applications.

The primary function of this role is to ensure that current business operations are functioning at the optimal level, mitigating disruption to the business. The secondary function of this role is to lead and drive the delivery of new solutions, providing both go live and post go live support and subsequent optimisation therein.

Working with key stakeholders in cross functional areas, you will foster a collaborative approach between the business and technical support teams to deliver the tools required to meet the future demands of the business.

How you'll do it
  • Support and monitor existing infrastructure, including EDI interfaces to maintain a stable BAU environment
  • Develop strong cross functional relationships to enable a collaborative approach
  • Keep up to date with system enhancements and key upgrades
  • Perform tasks for extracting, analysing, and validating various systems data sources in order to achieve set business objectives
  • Collaborate with business users to ensure software and applications are meeting the needs of employees and external providers
  • Lead a variety of business improvement projects and transformation initiatives, delivering solutions that meet the business needs
  • Provide the link between the customer, development team and any third-party regarding business requirements and software functionality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collect, understand, and effectively communicate the business requirements for a project(s), and work with the test team to translate these into functional specifications
  • Design and support the execution of user acceptance test scenarios and user acceptance test scripts
  • Produce detailed process and system flows that allow for greater understanding of business and system process
  • Maintain a high level of focus on risk mitigation
  • Stay current on new technologies and trends to expand technical and functional skills

What you'll need
  • Previous experience of 4+ years
  • Previous experience with Oracle Applications, VBA, EDI, SQL would be advantageous
  • Relevant project management qualification such as Prince2, Six Sigma, ITAL
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision and assist other resources with task management
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Creative and lateral thinking ('out of the box') and willingness to challenge the accepted solutions
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Capability to learn and understand the business system applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
