Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Humanities teacher to join a small 11-16 secondary school on the outskirts of Stockbridge.

Voted one of the "best places to live" in The Sunday Times in 2022, the rural location adds a unique dimension to school life and links across the community. It is also an easy commute from Winchester, Salisbury, Andover, Romsey and Southampton.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the humanities department within a small, rural and high-achieving school rated as 'Good' by Ofsted.

  • Capable of planning for students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, and inspiring them to reach their full potential
  • A track record of positive impact upon student outcomes
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • An engaging, creative, and driven individual
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them

The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience in teaching Computer Science
  • Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
  • Be educated to degree level in one of the humanities subjects or equivalent in a subject related to humanities
  • Passion for all students to succeed and thrive at the highest level
  • Suitable school-based references
  • Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
  • A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life
