Colas is looking to hire an Asset Assistant (Streetlighting) to join the Portsmouth PFI team. This position does not require prior streetlighting administration experience as the successful candidate will be provided full training across the relevant working systems and procedures, including GIS. Whilst this vacancy is of a technical nature due to its data management aspects, interestingly, the role also has the potential to grow through the addition of design elements at a later stage. The successful candidate will work with two other Asset Assistants, responsible for Structures and Inventory Updates, all of whom report to the Asset Manager. This is a permanent and full-time role based in the Portsmouth office.

The candidate will be responsible for producing Streetlighting Asset Management reporting including daily asset register updates with operational maintenance data. More specifically, the candidate will be responsible for the production of streetlighting annual reports and energy reports. You will work within the Asset team which consists of 8 other people and will carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by your line manager.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong Administration background with data management experience, including experience of using Excel. GIS experience is preferred, but certainly not necessary as GIS training will be provided. We welcome applications from interested candidates with Administration experience gained in the built environment sector as well as other industries.
