Senior ICT Buyer£400/DayAkton Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of the Lancashire County Council for an experienced Senior Buyer specialising in ICT within the County Council. This post will provide support to the Senior ICT Supplier Manager in developing and delivering the sourcing and supplier management framework to meet the County Council's Digital requirements. To support a strategic approach to ICT Supplier Management that delivers innovative, cost-effective and quality products/services that meet the County Council's priorities. To be a key contact for senior managers and commissioners across the organisation, supporting the Senior ICT Supplier Manager, in the planning and delivery of IT sourcing and supplier management activity to ensure key milestones are achieved.For this they must have experience of Public Sector Procurement and ICT buying and be capable of immediately contributing to projects and supplier management tasks.* The contract will be for a minimum of 6 months with opportunities to extend if required. There may also be the opportunity to transition to permanent. Start date will be as early as possible in June 2022.*Must be Lancashire Based* - Full time - Working ideally 1 to 2 days a week in Preston office and the 3 remainder days in the week will be home working.Qualifications:Essential - CIPS level 4 qualified or working towards; or equivalent degree, knowledge and experience.
