Senior Supplier Engineer (Electro-Mechanical Devices)


£40k-£55k (dep on exp)

One of the UK`s most exciting technology development companies is looking for a Senior Supplier Development Engineer to join their expanding team. As the Senior Supplier Engineer, you will be an integral member of the team working across multiple areas of the business including Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and R&D. Working closely with the suppliers and design groups to ensure smooth and speedy completion of DFM/A exchanges enabling them to develop next generation products which are being used to quite literally save people's lives!

If you are looking to have a role where every day is different, then this is the perfect role for you - combining your keen eye for detail and extensive supplier quality engineering skills to assist with sourcing and reviewing potential new component/assembly suppliers as well as partnering with the procurement and SQEs to manage those suppliers.

The Senior Supplier Engineer will be joining a truly exceptional organisation undergoing rapid growth due to the huge success that their market disruptive technology is having on the medical devices / healthcare industry. Ideally, you will come from a similar high compliance industry (Medical, Aerospace, Automotive etc.) - this will give you a distinct advantage!

  • Degree in Engineering or extensive equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of manual and automated mechanical assembly techniques would be ideal
  • Experience of injection moulded component tooling, manufacture and assembly would be desirable as would experience in fabricated metalwork, electrical/electronic assemblies and/or complex subcontracted assemblies.
  • Experience of medical device manufacture within an accredited ISO 13485 QMS or in a similar regulated industry would be a distinct advantage.
