Are you an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant / SEN LSA looking for an exciting new role?

A Special Educational Needs School are seeking to appoint a SEN Learning Support Assistant / SEN LSA for the new academic year. They are in search of a Learning Support Assistant / LSA to work on a 1:1 basis with learners who have SEN and challenging behaviour. As a Learning Support Assistant / LSA, it is essential that you have the following:

• A good standard of education and are able to identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis

• Previous experience in an educational setting

• You need to have the desire to help pupils overcome barriers and achieve the best results • You must be committed, flexible and an excellent team player

• You have a calm and patient persona • Knowledge of SEN and managing challenging behaviour

About you:

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:
  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • The desire to make a difference in young peoples lives
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
