Release Manager (Remote working)

Key responsibilities:
  • Govern a multi-tiered environment (Development, Test, Staging, Training, Production) application platform, ensuring seamless deployment and release across tiers and environment syncing to ensure
  • Support a multi-year transformation programme enabling transition from legacy applications to our new strategic platform
  • Provide subject matter expertise and define best practice guidelines for moving changes through a multi-tiered platform
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures for maintenance and management of required environments
  • Create and maintain documentation detailing environment configuration items (application, infrastructure, data, integrations)
  • Build an understanding of, and keep up to date on, the wider technology estate
  • Work closely with developers and 3rd parties on development and release cycles for both major project changes, minor enhancements, patches and defect resolution.
  • Work with Change Management and attend CAB to ensure change control is supported
  • Work with Service Transition to support services
  • Support the governance of data management within production and non-production systems to ensure the correct dynamic and static data is present for testing and in compliance with information security
  • Lead Retrospectives to understand lessons learned are built into continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop implementation plans for deployments across environments and release to production
  • Mentor and support other members of the team on environment, deployment and release management
  • Desired experience with automated deployment tools
  • Build up a body of knowledge on the wider application estate and environments

Essential experience:
  • A minimum of 2+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dynamics and Power Platform
  • Experience of managing complex releases with multiple technology and business deliverables
  • Strong track record of improving the Change & Release process
  • Strong experience in managing 3rd party suppliers
  • Experienced at leading changes or releases in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • ITIL Foundation certified or equivalent experience working with ITIL in a commercial setting?
  • Cloud
  • CRM/ERP environment

Desirable:
  • Microsoft Azure, Dynamics, Power Platform certified?
  • Certified in an Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc)
