Job Context & Principal Accountabilities
  • Liaise with, and support clients with establishing and monitoring QA & QC standards and processes across their projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects meet quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring procedures and processes are adhered to.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management and quality assurance systems through the job plan improvement and non-conformance reporting systems.
  • Manage and contribute to the improvement of Quality Assurance including regular audits of the work control management process.
  • Promote Quality within the Project and support Site Quality initiatives.
  • Responsible for ensuring that latest developments of industry best practice in terms of HSSE management are implemented and maintained and that adopted practices are routinely reviewed for effectiveness. Ensuring that the appropriate level of monitoring is implemented and maintained during works.
  • Support non-conforming audit findings through the issuing of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) to Contractors and ensuring closure within specified timeframes.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to the role by clearly identifying practical and effective means of improving technical, commercial or procedural aspects related to the role.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skill
  • An HNC or engineering degree qualification and/or engineering craft based qualification and/or appropriate Project Management or Quality Assurance qualification, with relevant power plant project experience.
  • Experience in implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and their practical application through performing inspections of work.
  • A broad understanding of Power Station operations and plant.
  • A broad knowledge and experience of maintenance activities in an engineering skill spanning more than one plant area. A good working knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards to IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • A proven ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions
  • Good communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence Essential.
