The School

The school is an independent school specialising for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) barriers to learning. It is a new school which opened in September 2019. They are a small school which currently caters for 30 pupils, and have opened a new site nearby for another 30 pupils.

The school in Christchurch offers an exciting alternative approach to educating children and help shape and deliver a creative, dynamic curriculum designed to engage and excite children who have struggled to thrive in mainstream schools. Many of the learners have huge potential however need to reassurance and support that a 1:1 can provide. The learners benefit from shorter lessons to help stay focused and achieve. The schools ethos is that they make the provision fit the child and not the child fit the provision.

It is a very small school meaning the class sizes are no more than 6 pupils. This means a lot less marking and you will have time set aside for planning and preparation during the school hours.
