Imagine if you could shape the future of the products available in the automation world. You would have the chance to put your machine safety knowledge into use, and become a true market expert.
This is one of those rare opportunities to take your career in a completely new direction. If you'd perhaps like a change from hands-on engineering, to move into something more commercial and strategic then read on.
As a Product Manager you will guide the "why", "what" and "when" in the development and launching of new products. You don't need prior experience in this area, only a decent understanding of machine safety/functional safety.
You'll be guaranteed an interesting and varied workload including market analysis, competitor comparisons, product launches, product customisations and assessing the current and future needs of customers.
The products you'll be dealing with include the likes of interlock switches, safety laser scanners, light curtains, safety PLCs, safety controllers and relay modules, so familiarity with this kind of hardware is essential.
You will get to deepen your commercial understanding, working closely with other stakeholders both internal and external, such as distributors, product development, sales & marketing, and R&D.
Your tasks could be anything from providing application training to distributors, discussing European price points with Japan, supporting sales teams with market insight on features & benefits, involvement in new product announcements and putting together business cases.
You'll be focusing on the underexploited EMEA region for a company who turnover half-a-billion$ globally. They've doubled their revenue in Europe over the last 5 years, so you'll be joining at an upward trajectory with a positive future.
You can work from home most of the time, but will need to go into the office near Thame around once a week. As you're covering a wider region than just the UK you should also expect some short term travel, perhaps 10 flights a year over to Europe.
The package on offer is a £50-60k salary, plus a 15% bonus based on some specific company and personal targets. You'll also get private healthcare and an Employee Assistance Programme for your wellbeing.
If you'd like a role which will offer you personal and career growth, autonomy, work-life balance and interesting new challenges day-to-day then please apply for more information.
