An amazing opportunity for a management accountant to work on an ongoing temporary basis within a recognised business. The purpose of the role is to produce monthly management accounts, prepare budgets, forecasts and accurately post journals on a monthly basis.
Client Details
The client is looking for a management accountant with 2+ years experience of dealing with budgets, forecasts, producing monthly management accounts and accurately presenting financial information to budget and stakeholders of the business.
Description
· Prepare accurate and timely budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts, ensuring variances are properly explained
· Manage and provide financial information, advice and guidance to Heads of Department and other budget/project managers on a regular basis
· Produce ad hoc reports and analysis which highlight the efficiency and effectiveness of operational areas, and work with business owners to develop a proper understanding of the profit/cost drivers affecting the business.
· In preparing the management accounts, work with the Financial Accounting team to ensure that all transactions and journals have been accurately recorded in time.
· Working with other members of the Finance team, deliver financial training and workshops for business managers to enhance overall finance performance
· Working collaboratively with the business, building strong and positive relationships with managers
Profile
2 years experience of working in a management accounting role
Part qualified in ACCA or Cima
Able to apply knowledge and experience to solve (sometimes) complex problems, sometimes resulting in change
Ability to collect and interpret financial and operational data to assess efficiency and effectiveness, undertaking analysis and reporting and making recommendations as appropriate
Excellent team working skills and flexibility in approach to work
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working effectively and ability to influence senior colleagues
Experience of working to tight deadlines, ability to work well under pressure and to be able to prioritise workloadJob Offer
