Client Details

The client is looking for an immediately available assistant accountant that has experience in dealing with the postings of journals and fixed assets.


Ensure Weekly Business sheets are received from all sites by the specified deadline, check for accuracy & then compile a Weekly Income Report for submission to the management
Reconcile weekly reported cash banked
Identify any cash discrepancies and resolve these on a timely basis with site managers, senior Operations staff, bank & cash couriers.
Resolve non-delivery of change order and non-collection of cash banking with the cash carrier and sites.
Monitor and arrange delivery of site cash floats as and when needed.
Reconcile PDQ (debit/credit card) receipts, EPDQ (online bookings)
Issue online refunds to customers as and when required.
Liaise with external parties such for any payment/reconciling issues and new online payment setup.
Prepare & post monthly income journals to Nominal Ledger.
Prepare & post monthly MGD (Machine Games Duty) journals to Nominal Ledger.
Month end reporting of depreciation, additions and disposals of assets using the Quantum system. Post monthly fixed asset disposals and depreciation journals to Nominal Ledger.
Raise inter-company recharges including Royalty fee and reconcile intercompany balances.
Maintain and monitor certain Balance Sheet accounts.
Manage debtors by issuing all invoices
Manage Petty Cash by checking and verifying all expense receipts before posting and reconciling to the Nominal Ledger.
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Assist with year-end audit queries.
Cover duties of the Financial Accountant during absence.
Compile schedule of Short Life Assets annually for corporation tax purposes.
Perform other ad hoc tasks as and when required.Profile

ACCA part-qualified or equivalent or qualified by experience.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Good working knowledge of Excel.
Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively in order to meet tight deadlines.
Methodical, accurate and consistent approach to work with good attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as well as a good team player.
