A growing Private Equity backed Professional Services company, with a hybrid working model, is looking to hire a Finance Business Partner to support a number of its specialist divisions.
A growing Private Equity backed Professional Services company, with a hybrid working model, is looking to hire a Finance Business Partner to support a number of its specialist divisions.
JOB PURPOSE
This role is a forward looking finance role dedicated to supporting a growing division, and focuses on 4 key areas:
1) Providing support for the leadership team decision making, by providing support for financials in any business cases for change or investment.
2) Influencing and challenging the colleagues in the team to ensure that they are focussing their efforts on activities that provide the best financial return, whilst still meeting customers needs.
3) Working with the wider Finance and Commercial team to develop analysis that enables conversations, analysis and challenge around customer, business unit and product profitability
4) Work with the Finance Director to help understand any risks/opportunities to budget & forecast delivery, plus support on more strategic long term planning and ideas.
5) Ownership of modelling and valuation, highlighting any risks/opportunities and over seeing recurring caseload audits to ensure constant accuracy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the business in preparation of robust financial business planning.
- Be the finance representative in business meetings where decisions are being made about headcount/resourcing, commercial intake delivery, IT investment and other key touch points.
- Support the Practice Directors with their resourcing models
- Work with the Deputy FD, plus Finance Systems and Group Finance, to develop reporting and data sources.
- Influencing and challenging the Directors to focus their efforts on activities that provide the best financial return, whilst still meeting customer's needs.
- Assist Practice Directors and overall Managing Director to fully understand current caseload - to include ageing of cases, case progression, accuracy of case step
- KPIs - successful delivery of this role will mean that we understand how we are performing against these, and have ideas on how we can mitigate any financial gaps we identify
