Belcan Workforce Solutions are currently looking for a Senior Finance Manager for a Defence establishment in Reading. The post is for an estimated 9 month contract and is paying competitively on an hourly basis.
Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain UK Security Clearance. Candidates should be willing and able to work in designated areas where the need arises.
The positions have been deemed Outside of IR35.
Direction of financial activities of an F&BM Finance functional team: Financial Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Compliance and Finance Systems. Leadership and line management of a functional team.

Policy, Business Processes, Operating Protocols, Financial and Process Controls
Financial and HR/Payroll shared services
Improvement and transformation programmes
Project and Change Management across Finance and HR/Payroll transformation
Producing accurate and timely reporting and accurate project status data
Senior stakeholder management
Supporting RAID activities
Supporting core governance forums
Collaborating with external partners and vendors
Governance controls and processes
Support with setting up and maintaining project governance, including governance framework, project controls and processes (RAID, tractability, change requests, stage gates)
Set up and maintain project SharePoint site (set up / configure site and facilitate use of SharePoint)
Support the project with raising, escalating and tracking project related risks and issues, and set up assist in facilitating related risk and issue meetings (RAID). Support in tracking assumptions and dependencies
Facilitating core meetings
Set up and facilitate core governance forums, including producing notes, actions and slide packs (Team meeting, RAID meeting, Project Board, Steering Committee)
Set up and facilitate workstream discovery/planning sessions
Facilitate project status reporting (either through the company portfolio tool PoL or through internal project reporting)
Supporting in financial forecasting and month end financial reporting
Assist Workstream leads with core activities and asks as required
Manage provision of financial information on a timely basis.
Ensure analysis and interpretation of financial information is provided by team as required.
Establishing, monitoring and reporting of compliance with financial processes.
Home working? Yes, remote working between 75-80%.
Flexible working or part time? Yes, between 3 - 5 days per week.
